John Ledwidge began his career as a 13-year old volunteer at Coventry City Football Club. Then his hobby turned into a career after he left Coventry City for Aston Villa to work under Jonathan Calderwood and then to return as Head Groundsman for Coventry city at the Ricoh Arena the age of 24. After 4 Years at the helm and experiencing everything from concerts to international and domestic professional football, he made the move to Leicester City and was appointed as Head Groundsman in January 2014, taking control of all the pitches and surrounding grounds at both the Training Facility and Stadium. John has recently been promoted to Grounds Manager, leading a team of 9 staff managing 25 Acres.
